AVM publishes prices and dates for Fritz!Box 5690 Pro and Fritz!Box 7690

AVM has announced the prices and availability for its latest models Fritz!Box 5690 Pro and Fritz!Box 7690 announced. The Fritz!Box 7690 is now available for 329 euros (RRP) (Price comparison), while the Fritz!Box 5690 Pro will go on sale in June for 359 euros (RRP).

The Fritz!Box 5690 Pro is a tri-band WLAN router with Wi-Fi 7 and is suitable for both fiber optic and DSL connections. It supports GPON up to 2.5 Gbit/s, AON up to 1 Gbit/s and DSL with supervectoring 35b up to 300 Mbit/s. The WLAN speeds are up to 1,200 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz, 5,760 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and 11.53 Gbit/s on 6 GHz. Other features include a 2.5 Gigabit LAN/WAN connection, four 1 Gbit/s LAN connections, telephony via DECT, IP/SIP and an analog connection, as well as smart home support via DECT ULE and Zigbee. A USB 3.1 port for mobile sticks and other devices is also available.

The Fritz!Box 7690, on the other hand, is a dual-band router with Wi-Fi 7, but without the new 6 GHz band. It achieves WLAN speeds of up to 5,760 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and up to 1,440 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz. The router supports DSL up to 300 Mbit/s including Supervectoring 35b and has a 2.5 Gigabit LAN/WAN connection, a 2.5 Gigabit LAN port and two 1 Gbit/s LAN connections. Telephony via DECT, IP/SIP and two analog connections as well as smart home functionalities via DECT ULE and Zigbee are also available here. A USB 2.0 port is available for mobile sticks and other devices.

Both models enable the integration of numerous smart home devices thanks to support for the Zigbee, DECT ULE and, in future, Matter standards.
